What I Offer
First psychological consultation
During the first visit, I gather information about the client’s problems and difficulties. The meeting includes an initial psychological assessment, during which I aim to understand the client’s therapeutic goals, expectations, and needs. This allows me to recognize the reported problem, make an initial diagnosis, and propose further assistance and cooperation.
If necessary, I recommend that the client consult other specialists or suggest a form of psychotherapy tailored to the client’s current needs.
The consultation is also a valuable first step for individuals unsure about the support type they require. The session lasts 50 minutes and typically involves one to three meetings.
Individual psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy, specifically cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), is an effective and practical approach for individuals facing various emotional or behavioural challenges as well as mental health disorders.
This form of therapy is structured, goal-oriented, and focuses on collaboration between the therapist and the client. Together, they work to gain a deeper understanding of the client’s needs, identify negative thought patterns and problematic behaviours, and explore the sources of fears or suffering.
A crucial aspect of psychotherapy is helping the client gain insight into the nature and mechanisms of their issues. This involves identifying the factors contributing to the problem and developing a strategy for lasting change in thinking and behaviour.
Individual psychotherapy begins with one to three psychological consultations, which aim to get to know each other, gather information and understand the client’s concerns. The process of diagnosing the problem is collaborative, where the therapist and the client work together to identify the issues that need to be addressed. Cooperation between the therapist and the client is based on a therapeutic contract containing the goal of the therapy, duration, frequency of meetings and principles of collaboration.
Individual therapy sessions are designed to be flexible and accommodating. They take place online and last either 50 or 90 minutes, depending on the individual’s needs and preferences. The duration of the psychotherapy process, the techniques used, and the frequency of meetings are all tailored to the individual case, the reported problem, and the individual’s pace of work and readiness to cooperate.
