ABOUT ME
Aleksandra Drobot
I graduated from the University of Gdańsk, specializing in clinical psychology. In the UK, I studied cognitive behavioural psychotherapy at Buckingham New University. I have full BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy) accreditation and an EABCT certificate (European Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy).
Experienced psychotherapist
My professional journey began in the esteemed British National Health Service (NHS), where I honed my skills and gained invaluable experience. Over the course of 15 years, I have worked in various community settings, acute mental health services, and talking therapy services. From 2015 to 2022, I worked as an accredited cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist at the NHS Improving Access To Psychological Therapies ( IAPT) service in London. I also have experience running a private psychotherapy practice, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with a Polish clinic in London, demonstrating my adaptability and openness to diverse experiences.
Comprehensive experience
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I have been involved in various educational projects. Under the patronage of the Polish University Abroad, I conducted psychoeducational training dedicated to better understanding and supporting mental health in educational settings.
I was a dedicated collaborator of the Polish Psychologists Association in the UK for many years. My work involved conducting psychological consultations for Poles living in the UK and providing workshops on social skills, stress management, and mental health promotion. The thousands of therapy sessions I have conducted have given me a wealth of experience and competence, enabling me to work with a wide range of difficulties, disorders, and mental as well as somatic health problems.
Since the beginning of my professional journey, I have been dedicated to enhancing my therapeutic skills. This commitment is reflected in my regular participation in a wide range of training courses, international conferences, and specialist workshops.
My work is underpinned by the support and guidance of certified cognitive-behavioural supervisors.
As a member of the British Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Full Accreditation number 170748) and the Polish Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I am part of a vibrant community of professionals. This connection to a wider network of expertise helps me stay updated with the latest developments in the field, ensuring that I provide effective and innovative treatments.
